How I Chose My Topic
For my NHD project, I chose Eleanor Roosevelt and the Women's Suffrage Movement. When choosing my topic, I thought really hard about what really mattered to me and I thought equality. I then remembered learning about Eleanor Roosevelt and how she participated in something called the Women's Suffrage Movement. After making sure that that was what I really wanted to do, I sat down at my computer and began my research.
How I Conducted My Research
To conduct my research, I sat down at my computer, went onto Google, and the typed in "Eleanor Roosevelt and the Women's Suffrage Movement." I then looked through all of the websites that came up and decided on the ones that had the best information. After, i went on Weebly and created my website. Then after thoroughly reading the information from the other websites, I started typing my own.
How I selected and Created My Website
I chose to create a website because that is what I did last year and I found that it was the category that worked best for me. After choosing to take on a website, I conducted my research and used Weebly to create my website. First, I chose my background. Second, I created all of the pages and chose the font sizes. And last, I typed up all of the information that I gathered from my research.
How My Project Relates to the Theme
My topic relates to the NHD theme of rights and responsibilities because it is dealing with women obtaining equal rights to men. Specifically the right to vote and the right to an education. The responsibilities that come along with the right to vote and the right to an education are that you have to make sure to go to school, make sure to do your work, make sure to pay attention, and to make sure your choosing a good person to run the United States.
